Q&A: “What is your role in these nonprofit groups you're supporting?”

We've been getting this question in many forms. Like, "Can you help improve their system?", "What has happened to our donations to XYZ?", "Are you a Co-founder of these groups?", etc.
The answer is: Michael, my husband, and I are just like most of you.

We are not part of, and have no stake in any of the groups we've partnered with in the past (except for U! Happy Events which I was a board member of until 2015) or will continue to work with. No part in any of these groups that we organize fundraisers for, or campaign for.

We are just taking after many of our friends who've inspired us to go farther in supporting groups as volunteers. You guys know who you are. And we think that YOU are CHAMPIONS!

We campaign for these non profit groups in the way that we do, as if we are actually apart of then, because we like and we've decided to just take our volunteering and support for these groups a notch higher.

Why? Because we can. And many of us can. Not only because it's a "social duty" to be giving back, but because We have in all of us the capacity to give. - in different ways. Based on our different gifting.

And for my husband and I, it's the gift of getting people together. Connecting them with each other. Speaking loudly on behalf of those whose voices can't be heard as loud as ours.

And the icing on top is that God truly rewards our giving.

Our family has experienced this time and time again. All of these events we've done so far are Acts of faith. We didn't have the full resources to cover for event costs in case they don't sell out.

The great thing is, God has never failed us. And friends and family have always been supportive. So we just keep doing it. We've learned to operate from a mindset of abundance. Thanks to the people who preached that to us.

And a lot of you have encouraged us in your participation in the efforts.

We can't be thankful enough for your support for the things that we start on behalf of these groups.

So, again, answer is, we are just volunteers like you. I'm excited to see what you can do too.
